Side Quest Society sells a huge variety of collections, as well as the individual product catalogs from BeSpelled by Fae and BattleSwapp Designs. Most of the items we offer are handmade, though occasionally (and very limited) we may offer a non-handmade items as part of a theme collection. 

Not currently. Both owners and all contributors operate individual businesses, at separate locations. We have space within independent retail locations, and a participate in many local events. 

We ship everything via USPS. All orders are hand delivered to, and shipped from, a main Salt Lake county, Utah post office location. 

SQS Collections: Many collections are ready to be shipped. You will receive an email confirmation of your order immediately after it's placed, with a follow-up once it's shipped, typically within 48 hours. 

Contributor offers, BattleSwapp and BeSpelled: All orders are processed and shipped by SQS. f your order contains any custom or "made to order" items, it can take an additional time for your order to be prepared. Listings of such items will provide a specific timeframe.  All items in one order will be shipped together to keeping shipping costs low. 

We subscribe to broad definition of handmade. Our goal is to include all realms of creativity, with makers and creators of all kinds. You will find sublimated items, simple jewelry, to things made from scratch - even written works. This perspective allows us to be more inclusive in our approach with our offerings, making our collections unlike anything you will find elsewhere. 

We focus on the creative aspect, because someone had to create the story.  Camden Park Press is our partner in publishing! They are a small independent publisher, showcasing many authors and a large range of genres. We stive to include their books in our collections frequently. All books are professionally printed and bound.  

Not at all. We have strict requirements for our contributors and the items included in our collections to ensure truly unique, and high-quality handmade items. Most of our partners are micro-businesses. Very little of what we will include will not be handmade. 

Our contributors are all listed on our About page. Additionally, many of our partners are also Featured Vendors with our Handcrafted Haven  group on FB! Come join!  

SQS has several sublimation contributors including one of our owners.  We have strict quality standards, as with all of the items we offer. 

• Designs are often exclusive, from our owner. These limited items are always highlighted in the product listing. 
• All sublimation materials are of top quality and consistency. 
• Sublimation design work, printing, and heat pressing are done in-house; this means that regardless of whether the design is from our owner, or curated from a partner, the quality of the design, the layout, and pressing is controlled and consistent. We do not work with partners who outsource any of these steps. 
• Sizing (clothing) may differ, depending on the supplier used by our partner. We will always provide accurate information so that you can choose the best options for your needs. 

SQS has several body care contributors, including one of our owners.  We have strict quality standards, as with all of the items we offer. 

• Formulations offered by BeSpelled are all created in-house. 
• Formulations offered by through contributors must meet handmade specifications and cannot be white-label products. 

• All stickers are all holographic, waterproof, incredibly durable, & UV resistant! 
• All stickers are designed digitally BattleSwapp Designs
• Sticker packs: Five (5) three to 4 inch (3-4) stickers per pack
• Sticker sheets: Full letter size sheet of two (2) inch stickers.  Number of stickers per sheet greatly depends on sticker shape/design. 
• All stickers are printed in-house.

Short answer, it varies. All BeSpelled body products include a POA (product after opening) guide on each package. As a general guideline, our POAs range from 9 to 12 months, or up to 24 months for lip products.  Some key things to keep in mind:  

• Vitamin E is included in all of our formulas. As a natural antioxidant, it helps prevent oxidation and degradation of the other ingredients to maintain freshness for a longer period.  This is in addition too all the skin benefits!
• Environment matters. Products stored in higher temps may not last as long as those kept where temperature is more constant. Lip products are particularly prone to this if they are kept in a pocket. 
• Most of our ingredients are all oil-based. If oils go rancid they become tackier, can change color, and smell a little bit "off". As long as your product doesn't show any signs of rancidity, it's still good and safe to use.

Our products are made of natural ingredients, without the use of any carbomers (polymers), and may change consistency when exposed to temps above or below room temperature, such as during shipping or when stored in a warm or cold environment.  It is normal that a cream or lip balm may be softer or harder, depending on temperature where they are stored.

If a product has softened too much, it can be placed in the fridge for 10- 15 minutes to re-solidify. If a product has hardened too much, move it to room where the temperature is more consistent. (65-70 degrees ambient temp is most ideal).

Many of our creams and lip products contain Cocoa or Shea butter, which can recrystallize after melting and re-solidifying giving products a grainy, or even lumpy, texture. 

It is a normal occurrence under temp change conditions, and the products are still safe to use, as long as there are no signs of rancidity (increased stickiness, altered color, or smelling "off"). 

You can help avoid this by keeping your products somewhere with a consistent 

temperature.  

While we use food grade natural "flavor oils" in our lip products, the term is quite misleading. These types of "flavorings" don't really have any flavor without the inclusion of sugar, which is not part of any of our formulations.  When added to lip products, sweeteners tend to encourage people to lick their lips, which actually causes lips to be more dried out -  the exact opposite of what our products aim to do. So, no sugar in our lip products, and that means no real taste. 

Our ingredients vary from product to product, and are listed on each individual product page. We are working on a list of all products and known properties directly on the BeSpelledbyfaecom website, here. 

While several ingredients in our products are commonly known to have UV protection properties, we do not include any SPF specific ingredients. SPF products are regulated under the FDA as "drugs" , and as the FDA does not recognize the properties of natural ingredients, we do not make any such claims for our products. 

Probably. There is no way for us to eliminate every allergen for every person, nor are we able to guarantee that the ingredients we use have not come into contact with any allergens during processing. Also, because some ingredients are considered proprietary to the supplier, we are often unable to get a complete breakdown of their formulations, only what a supplier can certify is not included. This disclaimer also encompasses any peanut, dairy, gluten and egg products; while we don’t specifically add any of these ingredients to our formulas, some of our ingredients may have come into contact with these allergens while being processed by one of our suppliers. 

We offer detailed ingredient information to ensure consumers are as informed as possible of potential allergens in our products. Each product page contains a detailed listing of ingredients for that specific product.

Fragrances (perfumes and beard oils) are an exception. Our scent blends are considered proprietary, and specific fragrance components are not included in product listings. However, if you are concerned about the inclusion of a specific ingredient, you may email us at info@bespelledbyfae.com and we will tell you if any of our formulas contain that ingredient whenever possible.

We understand dealing with allergies can be difficult (our owner is allergic to pineapple!) we are not able to alter any formulation to remove an ingredient or swap one ingredient for another.

If you have a sensitivity we recommend caution, particularly around flavorings. For anyone with severe allergies, or anyone with doubts, we recommend not using our products. 

In skin care, preservatives act to mitigate bacterial and mold growth.  These issues are only relevant in the presence of water. Most of our products are anhydrous, meaning they don't contain water, and therefore do not require preservatives. 

For any of our formulas that either may  contain water (aqueous) or come into contact with water, a preservative is added for consumer safety.
